Attorney G. Thomas Rodfong was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1988. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Kent State University in 1985 and his Juris Doctor degree from The University of Akron School of Law in 1988. Attorney Rodfong is a Certified Medicaid Planner and practices in the areas of Elder Law and Medicaid Planning.
Attorney Rodfong has a broad range of knowledge and experience dealing with Ohio Medicaid law and its application and interpretation under a wide variety of circumstances. Attorney Rodfong is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Columbiana County Bar Association. He is a frequent speaker and conducts Long-Term Care and Medicaid Planning educational seminars for various healthcare professionals, nursing homes, and hospitals.
Certified Medicaid Planner Requirements
To become a CMP, eligible candidates must meet educational and experience requirements. CMP candidates must also pass an examination that measures their knowledge of the Medicaid program and their planning proficiency. In addition, candidates must maintain the highest professional and ethical standards. CMPs also have continuing education requirements they need to fulfill after they’re certified to stay up-to-date on their Medicaid expertise.
